Uncle Sam and the Insecure Internet.

"The Internet is very insecure," said F. Thomson Leighton in his keynote speech at the Harvard Business School Cyberposium 2005. Leighton, co-founder and chief scientist at Akamai Technologies Inc., based in Boston, noted that over 4,000 viruses were found last year and that 83 percent of the country's financial institutions were compromised.

And the government is not doing enough to help combat the problem, Leighton said.

Government? Should they care about Internet Security? It's Microsoft's job. Security is solely a Microsoft problem. They are the ones who opened the doors on all their applications. They are the ones who gave all sorts of APIs to developers to sneak into operating systems and other applications. What can George Bush do?

I'm just kidding. Internet Security is indeed a national problem, and I agree with Tom Leigton: Government is not taking it seriously, and they are not providing enough funding for individuals and companies to do more research.

More than 175,000 Amazon customers had contributed to the fund raising effort, which was started almost immediately after the disaster unfolded last week.

Mr. Lou Dobbs, please apologize!

"People who come to the US with H-1B and L1 visas don't pay any taxes, and they return home with all the money they earned here. They are all cheap foreign labor." Tells Lou Dobbs on his daily news show - "Exporting America". He also wrote the same in his new book. Fortunately for him, he belongs to the powerful media elite. He could get away with his comments. But I will fight a fearless battle to prove him that he was wrong. Someday he will apologize for his comments.
