developer.* is a Jolt Award Finalist!
I am thrilled and proud to announce that developer.* has been named as a finalist in the "Websites and Developer Networks" category in the 15th Annual Software Development Jolt Product Excellence Awards, which are sponsored by Software Development Magazine and Jolt Cola. For those not familiar, these are the flagship awards for the software development industry. This is indeed an honor for us, especially given the other esteemed nominees in this category. Special credit and thanks must go to all of the great contributors to developer.*.
Here is the complete list of finalists in this category:
- Agile Modeling Home Page (Ambysoft Inc.)
- developer.* (DeveloperDotStar.com) (Daniel Read)
- eBay Developers Program (eBay)
- gantthead.com (gantthead.com)
- IBM developerWorks (IBM)
- Java.net (Sun Microsystems)
- The O'Reilly Network (O'Reilly)
This page lists all of the finalists in all of the categories:

This PDF has a more "article like" announcement, but the information is essentially the same:

The award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the SDWest conference in Santa Clara, California on the evening of March 16, 2005 and also in the June 2005 issue of Software Development magazine. The top award in each category is the "Jolt Award," and the judges usually also award a few "Productivity Awards" in each category.

Thanks for the good wishes. :-) My name is on there, but without those who contribute their hard work, great writing, and good names to developer.*, there would be no nomination. The credit must be shared.
Dan
