Steve Benz - About the Author
Steve Benz has been working in the software industry since 1984, when he had the opportunity to work for the U.S. Army at Fort Monmouth, NJ in the Hexagon building--a three-sided building (budget cutbacks). Steve then moved on to school at Clemson, where he learned how to properly drink beer, carry on, and watch football, and then on to Graduate School at the University of Texas at Austin, where he learned that a PhD wasn't all that and a Masters Degree would suit him right down to the ground.
Since University, Steve has worked at a small CASE tool company called ISSI, then on to Tivoli Systems (now part of IBM), Tandem (now a part of HP), and Dazel (now also a part of HP). In the off-time, Steve concocted DocJet, and created a company to sell it, Tall Tree Software.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys flying his Piper Comanche, building furniture in his woodshop, and cultivating the friendship of unusual individuals.
